Concrete nails carry the same function as any nail in terms of holding materials in place. Concrete and masonry nails use harder steels with longitudinal grooves along the length of the nail’s shaft to allow them to penetrate harder materials such as concrete by spiraling into the material as they are driven into the object. These thick and rigid nails are designed for mortar joints, concrete, and concrete blocks.
